Earth Mandala Yoga Workshop

About the Event
2 Hour Workshop with guest teacher Kate Tittley.
A Mandala is a circular pattern that represents the ebb and flow of the universe. The Mandala practice moves 360* around the mat, providing a deeper connection and introspection that we may not find in a traditional linear practice.
Topped and tailed with Yin Yoga to harmonise the body, the middle part is a repetitive vinyasa that builds in intensity and can be modified to every body.
Drawing inspiration from the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether), each sequence is designed to explore the characteristics of these elements and how they can apply to our own bodies, mind’s and journey’s.
As the practice is about creating harmony, expect not just to work physically but mentally also.
What to expect in this Earth Mandala workshop –
- We will begin by discussing the Earth element; what it means in both our practice and lives. Earth is grounding, it is home, it is the essence of ourselves deep within our bones. From this we will set intention for our practice & complete a journaling exercise to complement
- A break down of the sequence so you know what to expect from the movement and what options you have within the practice depending on your mood/intention. Here we will also look at any inversions and transitions that come up in the sequence and how to do them
- Into the practice itself...a deeply grounding meditation, Yin to prepare the body, the Mandala vinyasa sequence, Yin to harmonise the body, closing svasana
It's definitely not about the finished product, it's about getting to know and understand yourself. The more we get to know ourselves, the more we understand our behaviour, the more we can take care of ourselves and others.
