About the Event

Are you in your 2nd or 3rd trimester of Pregnancy a little nervous & eager to learn more about birth preparation? 

Join us for a 90 Minute holistic birth preparation workshop which is focused around "3 pillars"; knowledge, movement & breath. Also, allowing yourself some time to turn your focus inwards, to just you and your baby. 

Your guide Katie is a resident teacher at "Vanessa Flow Yoga Studio" a Mum & business woman. She's a self-confessed birth nerd having completed a number of antenatal and birth physiology courses, including her Pregnancy Yoga teacher training & various courses with leading midwives and birth workers.

She is passionate about empowering women to have the informed birth experience they deserve.

Katie has first hand experience of a truly transformative birth:

“At first I was terrified of giving birth but following a combination of antenatal education, pregnancy

yoga and hypnobirthing breathing techniques I had beautiful birth which I found to be incredibly

empowering and transformative. I am passionate about informing women so they can make the right

choices for their pregnancy and birth.”

This workshop perfectly compliments any other antenatal courses which you have (or intend to) complete, although you don’t need any previous knowledge or Yoga experience to attend.

What will the workshop include?

  • An introduction to the physiology of birth (including a little of the science behind what happens to our bodies to allow you to birth your baby beautifully)
  • Suggestions to encourage you to advocate for the birth experience you want (taking into account birth locations and pain relief options)
  • Some gentle movement to nurture your pregnant body
  • Nourishing relaxation using breathwork which can be used throughout your pregnancy and birth
  • Time for Q&A to de-bunk some of the myths around birth…is it really true that you can decline vaginal examinations?

You will leave the session feeling calm, empowered and even excited for your birth with a reading list and podcast recommendations if you want to continue to extend your learning beyond the workshop.
