About the Event

Do you play football, cricket or golf? Run 10Ks? Row, box, cycle?

Is your body feeling tense & your back aching all the time?

Are you feeling stressed & a little overwhelmed?

In need of sometime for you?

Well this Workshop is what you need!

If you've spent years tearing dumbells from the floor, pressing barbells and swinging kettlebells, your body can takes the brunt of things. It can get tighter — and not in a good way — less flexible and significantly more injury-prone. 

Within this 1.5 Hour Workshop you will help release tight and fatigued muscles to help improve flexibility and prevent and rehabilite common sports injuries.

Serena our "Functional Stretch" teacher, who is also a qualified PT & masseause with over 15 years teaching experience will guide you through a foam roller session to help provide the full body with a deep release. Foam rolling is a fantastic form of self-massage or self-myofascial release that can help loosen up tight muscles.

You'll then move into a Yoga practice. Yoga really can give you a leg-up when it comes to your fitness and training goals, to help promote flexibility, mobility and a sense of calm. There is no prior experience neccessary & this workshop may show you how a regular Yoga class could be beneficial to you & your life.

You will discover two styles of Yoga; called  Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga. 

Yin Yoga is one of the best practices for those who lift, as its a slower more subtle practice where you hold for floor based postures for around 3-5 minutes. Plus, its deeply relaxing & will give you permission to try to unplug from a busy life & mind, well deserved time for you!

We will also work on breathing techniques, with an emphasis on expanding lung capacity in order to increase breathing efficiency. Working with breath also really helps you combat depression, anxiety and stress. 

To end the workshop you'll be guided through a full body relaxation, leaving you feel super chilled & completley free of tension.

Fully rested & recoupourated so you can play more of what you love. 


  • We have all the equipment you need but if you have your own mat bring it along & a 90x15 foam roller
  • Wear something comfy & easy to move in
  • Blanket or warmer layers for the end of class
